Since joining Perspective Cabinetry & Design in April 2015, Alice Asbed has helped countless homeowners transform their houses into spaces that truly feel like home. Known for her thoughtful guidance, creative problem-solving, and collaborative design process, she enjoys creating interiors that balance timeless style with everyday functionality. We’re excited to highlight Alice and the expertise she brings to every project.

What’s your design background or training?
“I graduated with a BS in Interior Design from the University of Missouri-Columbia. My career began in a corporate design role, where I worked as an in-house shoe store designer, gaining valuable experience in commercial planning, branding, and visual presentation. From there, I expanded my expertise through residential home flipping, real estate sales, and furniture sales. Each experience deepened my understanding of how people live, work, and interact within their homes.
“In 2015, I found my ideal professional home at Perspective Cabinetry & Design, where I have the privilege of helping clients transform their houses into spaces that are uniquely their own.”
What is your process when starting with a new client?
“I guide homeowners through the many finish selections and design decisions required to bring a remodeling project from concept to completion. Keeping clients organized and on track is an important part of my role, as it helps ensure timely product selections and successful project execution.
“My favorite part of the process is collaborating with both clients and coworkers to create spaces that are not only beautiful but highly functional for everyday living. I believe great design begins with listening. By understanding each client’s lifestyle, needs, and goals, I help them discover and refine their own personal aesthetic.”
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
“One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is seeing a vision come to life. I never tire of watching a project evolve from an idea into a finished space that enhances the way my clients live. While I enjoy consulting on every area of the home, kitchen and bath designs are especially fulfilling because they often present unique challenges that require creative problem-solving.”
What kinds of projects do you enjoy most?
“My favorite projects are often the ones that challenge conventional thinking and require innovative solutions. Whether it’s reimagining an outdated floor plan, maximizing storage in a compact space, or helping clients confidently blend timeless and current design elements, I enjoy finding creative ways to make a home work better while reflecting the personality of those who live there.”
What do you value most about working at Perspective Cabinetry & Design?
“One of the things I value most about working at Perspective Cabinetry & Design is that much of our business comes from referrals and repeat clients. There is no greater compliment than earning a homeowner’s trust and having them return years later for help with another space in their home—or hearing that they’ve moved and want us to be part of designing their new home as well.
“Building lasting relationships with clients and being invited back for the next chapter of their home’s story is truly the best part of what I do.”
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my large extended family and embracing my newest role as a grandparent. I also love vacationing in Michigan, attending music festivals, traveling, and making memories with family and friends. These experiences help keep me inspired and remind me that home is where life’s best moments happen.”
