Rick is the third founder of Perspective Cabinetry & Design. Rick holds a degree in International Business from St. Louis University and owns and manages a contracting/remodeling business called Aquila Renovations. In addition, he is an ardent investor in property acquisition and renovation in Soulard and the surrounding metropolitan area. Rick began his kitchen and bath career when he was persuaded to become the business manager for his mother’s business, Patricia Marie Designs. He now brings that business expertise to Perspective. Rick enjoys all outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing, but his passion is world travel. In addition to living in Costa Rica and Spain, his favorite adventures have been to the Galapagos Islands, Montana, and Alaska.

Kim earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois-Champaign, but quickly realized she preferred the residential interior design of the profession – so she began to specialize in kitchens & baths in 1995. Became NCIDQ-certified in 1998 and earned her CKD & CBD certifications from NKBA in 2001.
Since starting her career in Springfield, IL, she has been designing with a custom cabinet line and worked with homeowners and decorators through the same showroom since moving to St. Louis in 1998. Kim joined the team at Perspective in 2019 after helping St Louis homeowners realize their kitchen & bath dreams for the last 20 years.
She has the knowledge and experience to solve design challenges and help clients select appropriate styles and materials to match their vision. She understands project management in the field, as well. Her skills in professional organization and her attention to detail propel her projects from the initial design concept to the final punch. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
PAULA ANANE, DESIGN TEAM
Paula Anane earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the CIDA accredited program at the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg in 2005. Paula has achieved the designation of CKD [certified kitchen designer] and CBD [certified bath designer] from the NKBA [National Kitchen and Bath Association]. Paula has also received her Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation from the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB).
Paula is enthusiastic and dedicated to working to create beautiful and functional spaces. Her talents, combined with her commitment to customer satisfaction, makes the design process involved and thorough. “Asking a lot of questions and listening to our client’s needs and desires is essential to a successful remodel. Our clients are very involved in the design process; after all, it’s their home and their dream.” Paula enjoys spending time with her family in Northern Michigan at their family cottage on the lake in her free time.
