From keeping the books balanced to keeping the showroom’s famous candy jar stocked, Julie Stimac helps make Perspective Cabinetry & Design run smoothly. Since joining the team as an Office Manager in February 2016, Julie has become an essential part of the company’s day-to-day operations, bringing years of professional experience, organizational expertise, and a genuine love for the people she works alongside. We’re excited to shine the spotlight on Julie and share a little more about the person behind the scenes!
What is your educational and professional background?
“I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and a minor in English. Before joining Perspective Cabinetry & Design, I worked as the Manager of Data Integrity at Union Pacific Railroad until the company relocated out of St. Louis in the early 2000s.
“From there, I spent 15 years working in Office Management and Human Resources at Manley Companies, another family-owned business. When my brother, Dan Mueller, who was one of the former owners of Perspective Cabinetry & Design, encouraged me to join his team, I decided to make the move. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!”
What does your role involve on a day-to-day basis?
“I wear a lot of different hats! I handle bookkeeping, banking, payroll, customer service, and all sorts of behind-the-scenes details that help keep the business running smoothly.
“I also make sure the showroom has everything we need, from office supplies and coffee to our famous candy jar, which is a favorite among both customers and employees. There’s always something that needs attention, and I enjoy doing my part to keep everything organized and running efficiently.”
What do you enjoy most about working at Perspective Cabinetry & Design?
“Without a doubt, it’s the people! We’re a close-knit group, and I truly consider my coworkers more like family than colleagues.
“Having been part of Perspective since its early days, I’ve had the opportunity to watch the company grow while building some wonderful relationships along the way. It’s a supportive environment where everyone works together, and I’m proud to be part of this team.”
Do you have any children or pets?
“I’m the proud mom of three amazing daughters. Spending time with my family is one of my greatest joys. Whether we’re celebrating a special occasion, going out and doing something fun, or simply hanging out together, I cherish every opportunity we have to make memories.”
If you could design your dream room, what would it be and why?
“My kitchen, definitely! I would love to have more space because that’s where everyone naturally gathers when we get together.
“I also really enjoy cooking, so having a larger kitchen with more room to spread out, prepare meals, and spend time with family would be wonderful. It’s the heart of the home, and I’d love to make mine a little bigger!”
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?
“Any time spent with family is a great weekend in my book! It doesn’t really matter whether we’re going somewhere or just relaxing and spending time together. As long as we’re together, I’m happy.”
What’s one item in your home you couldn’t live without?
“Sadly, my phone! I hate to admit it, but it’s probably the one thing I’d have the hardest time living without.”
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“My parents always taught us to love one another. It’s simple advice, but it’s something that has stayed with me throughout my life and continues to mean a great deal to me.”
What’s one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
“I have a secret Dollar Tree addiction! I just can’t help myself. You never know what treasures you’re going to find!”
