Cabinetry design is a second career for Patti. She received her Associate of Arts in Interior Design from St. Louis Community College along with her Certificate in Kitchen and Bath Design. Her previous experience was in the medical and legal fields and she brings that careful attention to detail to her current profession. Patti’s goal with each and every project is to listen attentively, design creatively, and execute thoroughly. Patti began her kitchen and bath career at a local firm where she met Dan during the remodel of her own kitchen. Five years later, Patti created her own business, Patricia Marie Designs, which became the springboard for Perspective Cabinetry & Design. Her first priority is always her clients, but any chance she gets, she’s on the beach in Destin with her family and four-legged “children.”
Dan is the quintessential cabinetry design expert. With close to 30 years of experience, Dan has encountered virtually every design dilemma and garnered a wealth of knowledge and proven solutions. He has a BS in Marketing Management from Southeast Missouri State and an MBA from Lindenwood University which he put to use starting his career in a family-owned kitchen and bath business. Since then, Dan’s business has expanded exponentially and is now solely referral-based. We’ll bet that someone in your contact list knows someone who has a project designed by our very own Dan Mueller! Despite his client and church commitments, he manages to squeeze in time with his friends and family at their getaway cabin.
Rick is the third founder of Perspective Cabinetry & Design. Rick holds a degree in International Business from St. Louis University and owns and manages a contracting/remodeling business called Aquila Renovations. In addition, he is an ardent investor in property acquisition and renovation in Soulard and the surrounding metropolitan area. Rick began his kitchen and bath career when he was persuaded to become the business manager for his mother’s business, Patricia Marie Designs. He now brings that business expertise to Perspective. Rick enjoys all outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing, but his passion is world travel. In addition to living in Costa Rica and Spain, his favorite adventures have been to the Galapagos Islands, Montana, and Alaska.
Art as always been a part of Cyndi’s life. As a little girl, she dreamed of becoming an art teacher. Instead, she earned a degree in Advertising Design and Commercial Art and worked for some of St. Louis’ best advertising agencies. Ready for a change after eighteen years in graphic design, Cyndi went back to school and earned another art degree, this one in Interior Design. Working in a high-end design firm, she found that she was drawn to kitchen design, specifically, designing kitchens that function as a central part of family life, rather than just as a place to cook. Several of her kitchen and bath designs are award-winners and have been featured in local publications. Cyndi is a native of St. Louis and an avid St. Louis Blues hockey fan. She has been married to her husband Bob for almost 25 years and they have raised two fine young men, both of whom are students at Maryville University.
Kristyn is a designer and project manager for Perspective. She discovered her interest in the kitchen and bath world after remodeling her own home. She earned her Certificate in Kitchen and Bath Design, and has worked for cabinetry dealers and a construction firm before becoming part of PCD. In addition to her ability to create beautiful detailed drawings, she is a master at finish selection, and brings a special high-energy enthusiasm to each and every project. Her special area of interest is design with an emphasis on aging-in-place. She is a native Floridian, is active in her church, and enjoys vacationing in Michigan with her husband and their 2 children.
Most interior designers will tell you that they love working in whatever style their client wants, but press them a little, and you’ll find that they’ll usually admit to having a favorite style or two. But when Alice tells you that she’s most comfortable designing in the style that best suits her client, believe her! With an inspired imagination and an unparalleled attention to detail, Alice is comfortable in everything from Contemporary to Colonial to Coastal. Alice earned her degree in Housing and Interior Design from University of Missouri-Columbia, and has worked in interior design for more than twenty years. At Perspective, she specializes in selecting and coordinating all of the finishing touches that make each project special. When she’s not working, her favorite pastime is—yes, really— watching interior design shows!
